The UIB Terms of Engagement document sets out the terms on which United Insurance Brokers Ltd (UIB) undertakes to act for its clients. These are our standard terms and can only be varied with written consent. As an independent intermediary we act as agent of our client and are subject to the law of Agency which imposes various duties on us as well as statutory regulation under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA). In these Terms of Engagement, reference to “insurance/insurers” shall be construed as reference to reinsurance, reinsurers, Lloyd’s underwriters, or other markets with whom we place business.
