The UIB Treaty Reinsurance Division is pleased to announce the release
of this year’s annual Renewal Season Report. This yearly publication
provides a review of the state of the renewal season 2005/6, the
current condition of the market and the issues that have had an effect
on the results.
2005 was a particularly harsh year in terms of natural disasters.
Starting off with the Tsunami of December 2004 followed by the floods
in India and then one of the most active hurricane seasons for decades,
the Treaty Renewal Season of last year was certainly a tough time. This
report provides readers with a review of how all these natural
catastrophe’s have had an impact on market conditions.
