One of the founders of UIB, Bassem is Group CEO and Chairman. He applies his wealth of experience on the intricacies of insurance broking, multi-faceted knowledge of the insurance business and negotiating skills for the benefit of clients.

He maintains in-depth expertise in marine, aviation, energy, liability and property insurances, including claims negotiation. He has also lectured on aspects of marine insurance, particularly on oil movements, to audiences in many countries.

He speaks Arabic fluently and has working knowledge of Japanese.

Shaun has over 28 years of experience in the insurance industry having graduated from Exeter University in 1991. He has worked for Sedgwick, Marsh and Willis and has had roles that encompass production, broking and divisional management.

Through many different roles, one job description has always remained consistent. The strategizing and placement of large complex property and energy risks into the London, Bermudian and European markets has always remained at the centre of his day job.

This remained the case at UIB where he was Managing Director of the Non Marine and Energy divisions in addition to his duties as a Director, prior to being promoted as CEO of United Insurance Brokers Ltd. in January 2016.

Keith joined UIB in August 2017 and brings a wealth of financial leadership experience having worked in both large corporates and privately owned businesses across a number of industry sectors. For the last 10+ years Keith has worked in the insurance sector and his most recent position was within the AEGON Group as Chief Financial Officer of the AEGON Direct Marketing Services Europe and Stonebridge International Insurance businesses.

Keith is a member of both boards, UIB Holdings (UK) Limited. and United Insurance Brokers Limited.

Craig has in excess of 38 years’ experience in the aviation insurance market and has been with UIB Aviation since 2000. Prior to joining UIB Craig held senior positions at other leading aviation broking houses and his experience includes handling major airline accounts in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Oceania and South America.

Stephen has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry in a wide range of insurance and risk management needs for a diverse range of UK clients. In his role at UIB, Stephen oversees European insurance programmes for a number of European entities and their manufacturing site.
